Martin General Stores’ Project Winter Warmth Helps Important Causes

The Blair, Bedford, Cambria and Huntingdon County Martin General Stores recently sold ‘snowflakes’ to raise funds for the important work of Family Services, Inc. located in Altoona. All proceeds of the sale went directly to the group. Employees at the Martin General Store in Home PA sold snowflakes to benefit the Indiana County Community Action Program (ICCAP), and the Martin General Store located in Boswell contributed their snowflake proceeds to the North Star High School Cougar Closet. Great work for great causes!!

Martin General Stores Wraps Up 9th Year of MDA Shamrock Campaign

The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) is the world’s leading nonprofit health agency dedicated to saving and improving the lives of people with muscle disease. Since 2007, the employees of Martin General Stores have participated in the MDA’s yearly Shamrock Campaign by selling shamrocks at each location and displaying the shamrocks in the store. Over the past 9 years Martin General Stores has raised over $26,000 for MDA. This fundraiser helps send local children suffering from muscle disease to summer camp. The money raised from shamrock sales this year will send at least 4 local children to camp. We would like to thank everyone who purchased a Shamrock, and our employees who took on this challenge and succeeded for this worthy cause!
